Avid Media Composer Coming Soon

Integrate with Avid Media Composer

Install ATIX as a native Avid extension and track every asset across bins, sequences, and shared projects — built for enterprise editorial workflows.

Method Extensions API
Avid Version v2024.x+
Setup Time ~5 minutes
Runs Locally 100% — No cloud
Step-by-step
1

Download the Extension

Download the ATIX extension package from the Avid Extensions marketplace or directly from our team. The extension ships as a single .avx file that installs into Media Composer's Extensions directory.

# macOS install path:
/Library/Application Support/Avid/Media Composer/Extensions/ATIX.avx

# Windows install path:
C:\ProgramData\Avid\Media Composer\Extensions\ATIX.avx
2

Enable the Extension in Media Composer

Launch Avid Media Composer and navigate to Tools → Extensions Manager. Locate ATIX in the list and toggle it to Enabled. Restart Media Composer to activate.

If you're running Avid in a shared storage environment (Nexis / ISIS), the extension only needs to be installed on the local workstation — it does not require server-side deployment.
3

Open ATIX from the Tools Menu

With a project open, go to Tools → ATIX. The panel will open as a docked window within your Media Composer workspace. It can be resized and repositioned like any other Avid tool window.

// Menu path:
Tools → ATIX

// The panel opens inside Media Composer
// and can be saved as part of your workspace layout.
4

Scan Bins & Sequences

Click "Scan Project" to index all bins and sequences in your current project. ATIX reads master clips, subclips, group clips, and nested sequences, building a complete map of every asset used in your edit.

5

Annotate & Export

Review the scanned assets, tag each one with source type, license details, copyright owner, and AI generation information. When complete, export the compliance report as CSV, JSON, or PDF and attach it to your deliverables.

In shared project environments, ATIX annotations are stored locally per-user. They won't interfere with other editors' workspaces or bin locks.
